All Carroll County Child Development Center students are on one campus for the first time in years.
About 16 children had been serviced in a modular classroom on the Carroll County High School grounds, but they were moved in mid-November. They are in the 1- and 2-year-old class.
“It’s difficult to provide them with everything the kids are provided here, such as nurses and mental health services,” CCCDC Director Leah Spencer said.
The modular was placed at CCHS in 2013 and operated as a combination program. A new modular classroom was purchased and placed by the Head Start building. It’s been a challenge to get everyone on one campus, but the goal has been met.
“They have access now to all of the awesome things we have here,” Spencer said.
