We have altered the Town Hall meeting schedule to coincide with our high school home basketball double header on Thursday, Feb. 6. The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. in the ag workshop at CCHS. Please note there will not be a Town Hall on Friday, Feb. 7. We encourage you to attend the Town Hall and support our basketball athletes!

Carroll County Schools will be on NTI days Wednesday, Feb. 5-Friday, Feb. 7 due to illness. Staff can work from home during normal NTI hours, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in order for custodians and maintenance to deep clean buildings. Athletic events will continue as scheduled.

The Carroll County Schools maintenance department was recognized by the board of education for their efforts during the recent snow storm. The five-man team worked very hard to clear parking lots and sidewalks while dealing with equipment problems and extreme weather. Thank you!


Carroll County Schools Superintendent Casey Jaynes thanked the board of education for its service and dedication to our students during their monthly meeting last night. January is School Board Appreciation Month.

The Carroll County Child Development Center's home-based program is hosting a winter sensory socialization event tonight at the public library from 5-6 p.m. It will feature three stations: digging animals from ice, don't break the ice game, and snow with polar bears and penguins. Participants will receive penguin crackers, mini marshmallows and snow cones for snacks. Door prizes will be given!

Carroll County Schools is hosting two Town Halls next week to discuss our future goals and plans. Everyone is welcome to attend and learn about this vision. We will meet at 6 p.m. in the ag workshop at CCHS.

The Carroll County Board of Education has released its 2025 meeting schedule. All meetings are open to the public.


Would you like to learn more about the district facilities plan and how anticipated school/grade structure changes can be made? Join us at the Town Halls on Jan. 27 and 28 before the basketball games. We will meet in the Maker Space (ag workshop) at Carroll County High School.

Conditions appeared good enough to go to school tomorrow, but bus turnarounds, sidewalks and other areas are still unsafe for travel. As a result, we will use another NTI Day on Monday, Jan. 13. Each school will follow its NTI protocol. Stay safe and warm!


The Carroll County Schools maintenance staff has worked hard all weekend to get sidewalks and parking lots ready for students and staff to come back to school tomorrow. We look forward to seeing everyone in school tomorrow! Get good rest tonight!
