Students in the Project-Based Learning (PBL) program at Carroll County High School talked up the program to their younger counterparts before graduating. They visited project sites and explained how the program worked.
PBL was begun last year as a means for students to participate in hands-on activities that beautified the CCHS campus and teach them about planning, organizing and putting their ideas into practice. The class is open to seniors only. CCHS teachers Kevin States and Joe Creager lead students in their English and math classes while Jeff Fremin is their advisor and helps with creation and implementation of the projects. This year they will also be assisted by study skills instructors.

Clear backpacks will be required at Carroll County High School again this year. The school will provide backpacks to students during registration on August 8. Freshmen will register from 8 to 10 a.m., seniors from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and sophomores and juniors from 1 to 3 p.m.
