The Kentucky Department of Education is seeking feedback as it searches for a new Commissioner of Education. The process should take about five minutes to complete.
It is important for all communities to have a voice in the selection process.
Feedback can be submitted through the Kentucky educators and administrators survey https://survey.k12insight.com/survey1.aspx?k=RQsQRSRUTsSsPsPsP&lang=0 or the Kentucky education stakeholder survey https://survey.k12insight.com/survey1.aspx?k=RQsQRSRUTsQsPsPsP&lang=0. The education stakeholder survey, which also is available in Spanish, is intended for use by families, community members, business owners and others with a stake in Kentucky’s public education system.

Thanks to the Council for Better Education for their work in identifying the shortfalls in SEEK (Support Education Excellence in Kentucky) funding across the Commonwealth. This is how Carroll County Schools have been impacted since 2008 and what we need the Kentucky General Assembly to fund over the next two budget cycles. The SEEK funding program is a formula driven allocation of state provided funds to local school districts. The Council for Better Education is a nonprofit corporation founded to ensure full implementation of Kentucky’s constitutional commitment to our students and our common schools.
We encourage everyone in Carroll County to stay informed about school funding shortfalls and the impact it has on our students.
