CCMS held its first House Assembly last week, and our Panthers brought plenty of energy and school spirit!

Students had the opportunity to participate in exciting House challenges. Amistad, our red house, took the win in the House Chant Competition. Isibindi, our green house, didn’t let their loss in the chant competition keep them down. They emerged victorious in the next competition, a fun game of musical chairs.

We also took time to recognize and celebrate many of our students for demonstrating outstanding leadership. Great job Panthers! Keep up the amazing work! 🐾

Who is a Carroll County educator who goes above and beyond?

We have so many educators who give their time, talent and heart to help our students thrive. Now, our community has an opportunity to make sure their efforts are recognized beyond our schools.

The Ohio Valley Educational Cooperative is celebrating its 50th anniversary by celebrating our teachers. Three Carroll County educators will be selected as finalists for the Honoring Excellence Ceremony: 50 Educators. 50 Years. One Mission, with one educator receiving the award for our district.

We invite parents, families, students, colleagues and community members to nominate a Carroll County educator who invests in their students, continues to grow professionally and consistently goes above and beyond.

If someone comes to mind, take a few minutes to tell their story. Your nomination could help shine a light on an educator who deserves to be recognized.

Nominate a Carroll County educator at www.ovec.org/nominate.

The Honoring Excellence Ceremony will be held November 17 in Shelbyville.

Carroll County Middle School was named in an unfortunately popular internet trend involving the "Cat in the Hat." CCMS staff and the Carrollton Police Department immediately began investigating. No threats were made, but we are alerting families to the issue. An increased police presence will be visible in our schools.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this matter.

As temperatures change throughout the school year, so do our recess plans.

We have created a weather restrictions chart to help families understand when students will have recess outside and when recess will move indoors based on the temperature.

The chart provides clear temperature guidelines so families know what to expect and can help students dress appropriately for the school day.

Please take a few minutes to review the chart and keep these guidelines in mind as you plan for school each day.
