Hello Panther Families and Community! Please see the attached letter from Carroll County Schools Superintendent Casey Jaynes regarding the statewide issues of vaping and swatting. Many school districts, including ours, are dealing with these issues. Carroll County has not been the victim of a swatting incident (false report to law enforcement), but we have dealt with student vaping this year. We are asking for your help to educate your students about the dangers of these devices and encourage them to speak to a trusted adult if they have any concerns.

As we start Staff Appreciation Week, we also want to say thank you to those in our Panther community who impact our students even though they are not employed by Carroll County Schools. The positive influence our community has on our students is appreciated and recognized this, and every, week. Thank you to all of our Panther friends and family!

Today we start Staff Appreciation Week at Carroll County Schools! All of our staff members are invaluable to making our students successful. We are appreciative of you every day, but this week our staff members will receive some extra special treats. The Board of Education is providing lunch for each school this week and individual schools are hosting their own celebrations. If you see a Carroll County Schools staff member, give them a pat on the back for their hard work! 🖤💛

📣 Reminder! All Pro Dad’s is meeting tomorrow morning in the CCMS auditorium. 📣

Carroll County Middle School students practiced presenting their capstone projects last week. Students met in small groups with adults who listened to their presentation and provided feedback. These eighth graders worked with CCMS Principal Dr. Robin Stephenson and Federal Programs Coordinator Amanda New.

A friendly reminder that Carroll County Schools is not in session on Friday, May 1. Please enjoy the long weekend!

The Carroll County middle and elementary track teams will compete in a 10-team invitational on Friday, April 24. The eighth grade members of the CCMS team will be recognized before the meet. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 5:20 p.m. with field events at 5:30 p.m. and running events at 6 p.m. Please join us in supporting our Panther student athletes! 🖤💛

Join us for the annual Talent Show on Friday, April 24 at 6 p.m. 🎤🌟

🎟️ Tickets:
• $5 Adults
• $2 Children (17 & under)

Students will take the stage to showcase their skills, plus enjoy a special performance of “Through the Weaver’s Web,” a creative adaptation inspired by "Coraline"

Come support our young performers and celebrate their hard work and talent! 🎭

Save the date, on Friday April 24th, the CCMS Drama Club will be hosting its annual performance.

Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for anyone 17 and younger.

Carroll County Middle School students in the gifted and talented program recently completed a Future City STEM project where they imagined, designed, and built their own cities of the future 🏙️. The focus of the project was creating an eco-friendly city that incorporated sustainable features such as renewable energy, green spaces 🌳, and environmentally responsible transportation.🚲

Students were required to design and construct their city using recycled materials ♻️ while working within a strict timeframe. This challenge encouraged creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving while applying real-world engineering and STEM concepts.

In addition to building the physical model, students will also complete a written component and presentation explaining the sustainable features and design of their city.🌍📝

📣 Panther baseball and softball fans, here are a few updates for this weekend:

⚾ The JV home game against Central scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, March 28, has been canceled.

⚾ The freshman baseball team will play Conner High School at home at noon on Saturday, March 28.

🥎 The Lady Panthers softball team will host a Varsity/JV game against Christian Educational Consortium starting at noon on Saturday, March 28.

📢Panther Families, the Backpack Buddies program will be available during Spring Break. 📢

Any student and their family member can pick up a Backpack Buddy at Kathryn Winn on Friday, April 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and at Cartmell Elementary on Friday, April 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please use the main entrance of the school to access the Backpack Buddy distribution.🎒

The Carroll County Board of Education unanimously approved the 2026-2027 school calendar at its meeting on Thursday, March 26. Please save this for your reference!

The CCHS Panthers Football team will begin having Saturday workouts and informational sessions for all players.
