Carroll County Middle School fifth graders took their math lessons outdoors for the annual Outdoor Classroom Experience at Camp KYSOC. 🏕️✨

Created by fifth grade teacher Levi Underwood, the event gives students a chance to explore, learn, and connect with nature, proving that math + fresh air = the perfect equation! ➕🌿

It's time to try out for CCJP basketball! Students in first through sixth grades are eligible to try out for the teams. Check out the flyer for details!🏀⛹🏻‍♂️⛹🏻‍♀️

We had our second House Assembly at CCMS today. We had a lot of fun recognizing students and competing in house competitions. It was the perfect way to conclude the first nine weeks of school. Have a great Fall Break Panthers. More photos coming to FaceBook soon.

State Representative Felicia Rabourn visited CCMS on Tuesday, September 30th. Rep. Rabourn spoke with school board members, district & school employees, community members, and parents. Rep. Rabourn participated in a student-led school tour and classroom visits. A pleasant and informative visit was had by all. Thank you, State Rep. Rabourn, for visiting!

On Friday September 19State Senator Gex Williams visited Carroll County Middle School. Sen. Williams was taken on a tour of the school by WEB Leaders. Sen. Williams had the opportunity to go into Ms. Simmons' class and Ms. Coghill's class to interact with students and ask them questions about their work, and about what they’ve been learning. Our WEB Leaders also had the chance to showcase our House system and our Panther Store, explaining the positive effects both have had on our school.

CCMS administrators and members of the Carroll County Board of Education We were excited to share the success we’ve seen with our students in the recent school years.

Principal Dr. Robin Stephenson said, "We appreciate Sen. Gex Williams taking time out of his busy schedule to visit CCMS. We're always proud to showcase the dedication our staff and students demonstrate each and every day here at CCMS."

Some ELA teachers teach Point of View, but Mrs. Smith raps about it. Mrs. Smith got her students engaged by freestyle rapping about the nouns and pronouns that let readers know the perspective of the story.

Congratulations to CCMS staff members Kelly Simmons and Mandy Young on presenting at the Kentucky Continuous Improvement Summit today in Lexington. Their presentation, “Intentional Strategy Mapping in Math,” was chosen as one of the top “Best Evidence Practices” at this week’s annual summit.
