Enjoy your long weekend, Panthers! 😄💛🖤

October is National Principal Appreciation Month. At Carroll County Schools, we are blessed with some of the best and most compassionate leaders. Dr. Robin Stephenson, principal at Carroll County Middle School, leads the charge in her building with a caring heart and a strong desire to provide the best education for every student in fifth through eighth grades. 🖤💛

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Carroll County Retired Teachers Association for their generous donation of $75 Visa gift cards to each school Family Resources Youth Services Center (FRYSC). Your support helps us continue our work with students and families across our schools.
These donations mean so much to us, and even more to the families we serve. 🖤💛 Thank you for your continued commitment to our schools and community!

Panther Families,
We need your help! Each family is asked to complete the Household Income Form (HIF), a completely private and confidential form that has a big impact on the funding our schools receive.
The number of forms completed directly affects the resources available for our students, including Weekend Food Bags that go home with several of our students, e-rate funding that provides affordable high-speed internet, and many other essential programs that support families across our district.
Completing the HIF takes less than 3-4 minutes, and every student needs a form on file. Our goal is to have completed forms for 80% of our students, but right now we are below 60%.
Please take a few moments today to fill out your student’s Household Income Form using the link below. Your effort makes a lasting difference for our students, families, and schools.
How to Complete the HIF:
1. Type in this link: https://www.myschoolapps.com/Application
2. Enter zip code "41008" or select "Kentucky" from the dropdown menu and select “Search”
3. Select "Carroll County Public Schools, KY - Household Income Forms" from the dropdown menu and select "Select District & Continue"
4. Read the information on the page and select "Begin Application Process"
5. Complete the form with your household information. If you have multiple students in your home, please attach all of them to one form.
Select the button with three lines in the top right corner of the screen and select Language to change between English and Español.

From cheesy pizza 🍕 to fresh fruit 🍓 and all the smiles in between, our cafeteria teams make lunchtime one of the best parts of the day! 😋
Thank you to our food service heroes for keeping these CCMS students happy and full! 💪🖤💛

🧪✨ Science in action! Our students took learning outdoors for a States of Matter Scavenger Hunt! 🌎🔍
Working in pairs, the CCMS fifth graders explored Camp KYSOC to find solids, liquids, and gases during the annual outdoor classroom day. They spotted everything from bumpy rocks 🪨 to shimmering puddles 💧 and even the invisible air around them 💨. Then they described each one’s unique properties, such as a brown, hard and bumpy acorn.
🖤 💛Panthers, don’t miss out on the fun! 🐾

Here’s a little glimpse into their week. Thank you for keeping our schools spotless, sparkling, and ready for learning! 🙌💛
Carroll County Middle School fifth graders took their math lessons outdoors for the annual Outdoor Classroom Experience at Camp KYSOC. 🏕️✨
Created by fifth grade teacher Levi Underwood, the event gives students a chance to explore, learn, and connect with nature, proving that math + fresh air = the perfect equation! ➕🌿
